Ready for a Different Approach That Works?

If you’ve been trying everything you know to help your loved one who is struggling with addiction and nothing seems to change, this group will give you a new, research-backed path forward.

In just 9 weeks, you’ll gain tools that can:

  • Shift how you communicate.
  • Reduce daily stress & emotional overwhelm.
  • Increase the chances that your loved one accepts help.
  • Help you feel more grounded & empowered.

What is “CRAFT”?

Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) is an evidence-based approach designed specifically for families. It empowers you with practical, effective tools to positively influence your loved one’s behavior while also strengthening your own well-being.

The 3 Goals of CRAFT

  • Decrease substance use.
  • Encourage entry into treatment.
  • Improve your own quality of life.

Why CRAFT Works

Research shows that families who use CRAFT are 2–3 times more likely to help their loved one enter and stay in treatment - while experiencing less anxiety, depression, and emotional exhaustion themselves.

Core Skills You’ll Practice

You’ll be guided step-by-step through the 9 Core CRAFT strategies, including:

  • Positive communication techniques.
  • Understanding triggers and behavior patterns.
  • Using reinforcement to encourage change.
  • Setting boundaries with clarity and compassion.
  • Allowing natural consequences.
  • Inviting your loved one into treatment in a way that increases success.

Meet Your Facilitators

Laurie Santiago-Hooper and Paula Browne-Stumpf are CRAFT-trained facilitators and Invitation to Change practitioners. As mothers with lived experience, they combine professional expertise with deep empathy and understanding.
